It’s a privilege to serve you. At Gisual, Inc. ("Gisual," "we," "our" or "us") we care about your personal information and take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy is created to detail how we collect and manage the personal information of those who sign in to and use the Gisual platform at app.gisual.com and the Gisual API (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy does not apply to our marketing website at gisual.com, which is covered by the Gisual Website Privacy Policy.
We do not operate advertising, retargeting or visitor identification within the Service, and we do not sell your personal information.
Where our customer loads information into the Service, or instructs us to process information on its behalf, that customer determines the purposes and means of that processing, and we act upon its instructions under our agreement with it. This Privacy Policy describes the information for which Gisual itself determines those purposes.
We collect:
We use or may use this information to operate the Service and sign you in, respond to your support requests, understand which features are used so that we may improve the Service, monitor reliability and prevent abuse, bill your organization, send you messages relating to the Service, and comply with our legal obligations.
We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who help us deliver or improve the Service or who perform services on our behalf, including our hosting and infrastructure providers, our product analytics and fault reporting providers, our payment processor, our mapping and weather data providers, our customer support and email delivery providers, and the providers that tell a person apart from automated traffic at sign in. We provide each of them only with the information it requires.
We may also share or disclose your personal information if we determine, in our sole discretion, that we are required to do so under applicable law or regulatory requirements, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm or illegal activity, and in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Should such a transaction occur, we will use reasonable efforts to ensure that any transferred information is treated in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Your Account Information. You may request a copy of the account information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our use of it, by emailing help@gisual.com. Where your account belongs to an organization, your administrator controls that account, and we may therefore need to refer your request to them.
Email Communications. To change which emails you receive from us, please email help@gisual.com. We cannot stop messages you need in order to use your account, such as password resets.
Security. The security of your information is important to us. We serve it over an encrypted connection using Transport Layer Security (TLS), and we limit those within Gisual who may access customer and account information. We comply with industry standards to preserve the integrity and security of your information.
No Internet transmission is fully secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit or store.
A current list of the providers in each category, and of the cookies we set, is available upon request by emailing help@gisual.com.
We keep account information for as long as your account remains open. After it closes we keep only what our legal, tax and accounting obligations require, after which we delete it or render it anonymous. Customer information follows our agreement with that customer. To ask about a particular record, please email help@gisual.com.
California residents may ask what personal information we hold and how we use it, request a copy, correct it, and delete it. We do not sell personal information from the Service, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. An authorized agent may make a request for you on written proof of your permission.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you may also ask us to restrict or object to our use of your personal information, and to receive it in a portable form. We rely on our contract with you in order to operate the Service, on our legitimate interest in providing a reliable product in order to secure and improve it, and on compliance with a legal obligation where the law requires it. You may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live or work. Gisual operates from the United States, and we transfer personal information there under the Standard Contractual Clauses.
The Service is not directed to persons under 16, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 16.
Gisual holds the right to change our Privacy Policy. If we make changes we will post those changes on this page to keep you aware of any updates.
